Print and signs that fill the taproom and move the next round
Breweries and taprooms live or die on atmosphere and turnover, and most of what builds both is something you print. Here is what works for taprooms around Buffalo and Wright County, and how to get it right the first time.
Start with the table and the tap wall
The two surfaces every guest looks at are the tap list and whatever is sitting on their table, so those two pieces earn the most attention. A clean, current table tent sells the flight, the seasonal release, and the Friday band without a server saying a word, and a well-built tap list keeps the bartender from repeating ABVs all night. Both change constantly in a brewery, which is the real design problem: you want a layout that looks intentional but lets you swap a beer or a price in five minutes.
We design these in-house and set the files up so updates are cheap. You approve a proof before anything prints, so the IBUs, ABVs, and allergen notes are right before the run, not after a customer points one out.
- Table tents
Double-sided on a wipe-friendly coated stock that survives condensation rings and constant handling. Flights and food on one face, a review or untappd QR on the other.
- Tap lists & flight cards
Reprinted or insert-swapped as the board rotates. Build a system, not a one-off, so a new IPA does not mean a new design fee.
Brand the can, the growler, and the merch
A taproom's logo travels furthest on the things people carry out the door. Stickers are the cheapest marketing a brewery can buy: a die-cut logo decal goes on a laptop, a water bottle, a hard hat, and gets seen for years. Print a sheet for the bar, hand them out with crowlers, and sell a few at the register. The same artwork that prints clean as a sticker is usually the artwork that holds up on a can label, a growler, or a cooler decal, which is exactly why we like to nail the vector logo once and reuse it everywhere.
Because we design first instead of dropping your logo into a template, the file we hand back is print-ready for the next thing you need it on, whether that is a 2-inch sticker or a window the size of your front wall.
Get found from the road and the sidewalk
Most taprooms sit in a spot people drive past, not search for, so your exterior has to do the catching. A row of feather flags at the entrance reads from the I-94 corridor and the county roads at 55 mph and tells drivers you are open today. On the sidewalk, an A-frame sign with today's release or a chalk-style insert pulls the foot traffic that flags cannot. For a beer release, a tap takeover, or a summer patio season, a large-format banner on the fence or building face does the heavy lifting for a few hundred dollars.
Minnesota weather is the test here. We spec outdoor-rated materials and finishing, hemmed and grommeted banners, weighted flag bases, that hold up through a Wright County winter and a July storm rather than shredding by the second weekend.
Turn the windows and walls into the brand
Big glass storefronts are a gift, and most taprooms waste them. Window graphics do three jobs at once: post your hours and logo, give passersby a reason to walk in, and add privacy or shade where a booth sits in the afternoon sun. Frosted-vinyl logos, full-color event graphics, and simple cut-vinyl hours all live on the same glass. Inside, a vinyl wall logo or a printed history-of-the-brewery panel turns a blank wall into the photo backdrop people post from, which is free reach you do not have to pay for.
We measure, design to the actual opening, and proof the layout against a photo of your space so you see it on your glass before we cut a thing.
Take the brand on the road
Breweries do a lot of off-site work, festivals, farmers markets, the county fair, distributor accounts, and the vehicle that hauls the kegs is rolling advertising. We install spot decals, door lettering, and partial graphics on your delivery van or trailer right here, and trailer graphics for your event setup are a strong, low-cost way to look established at every market you pull into. If you want a full wrap on the delivery vehicle, we design that in-house too and have a trusted partner handle the install, so the finish is right and the warranty holds.
Pair the vehicle with a kit of festival print, retractable banners, flags, and a stack of stickers, and your booth looks like the same brand whether someone meets you in the taproom or three towns over.
Build a kit, not a pile of one-offs
The breweries that look sharp are not buying more print than everyone else; they are buying it as a system. Lock the logo, colors, and one or two fonts, then carry that look across the table tent, the can sticker, the patio flag, and the window. When everything matches, a small taproom reads as a real brand, and reprints get faster and cheaper because the design work is already done.
That is how we like to work with taprooms across Buffalo, Monticello, St. Michael, and the wider West Metro: design the system once, proof it with you, and keep your files ready so the next release or event is a quick turnaround instead of starting over.
Breweries FAQ
Start with the pieces guests see every visit: a double-sided table tent for flights and specials, a clean tap list system you can update yourself, and a sheet of logo stickers to hand out. Add a feather flag or A-frame out front so people driving past on the I-94 corridor know you are open. From there you can layer in window graphics and event banners as the budget allows.
Yes. We print taproom table pieces on coated, wipe-friendly stocks that shrug off condensation rings, beer, and being picked up a hundred times a night. For boards that take real abuse we can spec heavier stocks or extra-durable coatings, and we set the files up so swapping a rotating beer is a quick, inexpensive reprint.
We install spot decals, door lettering, partial graphics, and trailer graphics on-site for taprooms around Buffalo and Wright County. For a full vehicle wrap we design it in-house and have a trusted install partner apply it, so the finish and warranty are right. Either way you approve a proof before anything is produced.
It depends on size and material, but once your brand files are built, event print like banners, feather flags, and stickers moves quickly. The first project takes a little longer because we design it properly and proof it with you. After that, reprints and new releases are fast because we keep your artwork print-ready.
