Only if you enter a per-piece print cost. Leave that field blank and the calculator shows postage alone; fill it in and we add quantity times your print cost to the total.
EDDM Retail uses a lower saturation rate, around $0.245 a piece in our 2026 ballpark, because it goes to every address on a route rather than named individuals. First-Class costs more but lets you mail to a specific list and moves faster.
No. These are approximate 2026 ballparks. Your real postage depends on the piece's weight, size, and mail prep, so we confirm the exact rate on your quote.
How to estimate your mailing costs
The math is simple: postage equals quantity times the per-piece rate for your mail type. We use approximate 2026 ballparks -- EDDM Retail around $0.245, First-Class postcard around $0.56, First-Class letter around $0.73, and USPS Marketing Mail letter around $0.35 per piece. If you also enter a per-piece print cost, we multiply that by quantity too and add it to postage for an estimated total.
Say you mail 2,000 EDDM Retail pieces. Postage is 2,000 times $0.245, or about $490. Add a print cost of $0.15 each and print runs 2,000 times $0.15, or $300, bringing the estimated total to about $790 -- roughly $0.395 per piece. Leave print blank and you will just see the postage side.
These are ballparks only. Real postage depends on piece weight, size, and how the mail is prepared, and rates change. When you are ready, our mailing services team confirms the actual numbers for your job.
