Campaign printing FAQ
Yes — all of them. SHIFT is a print and design studio, not a political operation. We work with candidates, party units, and committees across the spectrum, and we do not take sides in the races we print for. Your artwork, your message, your call. We treat every campaign the same way: design it well, proof it, and get it out on time.
We place your approved disclaimer in the artwork and show it on the proof before anything prints. What we cannot do is tell you what it should say — we print things, we are not your lawyers. Confirm the exact wording, and whether your piece needs one at all, with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board at cfb.mn.gov or with your own attorney. Rules change; verify before you approve.
It depends on the size of the run and how deep into the season you are — October is not July. We do not post guaranteed turnaround times, because a number on a web page is worthless if it turns out to be wrong on your race. Tell us your quantity and your date and we will confirm a real timeline on the quote before you commit to anything.
Yes. Mailing is a service here, not a hand-off. We can design the piece, address it, sort it, and get it into the mail stream — saturation drops or targeted lists. Postal rules on size, thickness, and address placement are strict, and a piece that fails at the counter costs you days you do not have. Send us your plan and we will build the job around it.
No. School board, township, city council, and county races are core work here, not an afterthought. A first-time candidate ordering a small run gets the same design process and the same proof as anyone else. Small races are also where a local printer helps most, because nobody involved has done this before and somebody has to say what happens next.
